Noida farmers to get Rs 5060/sq m under direct purchase scheme

Noida: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) on Tuesday approved Land compensation of Rs 2,640 per square meter for direct purchase cases.

"Besides Rs 2,640 per sq meter solatium or no litigation bonus of Rs 1,320 per sq meter will also be given.

"If farmers do not want 5 percent developed land, they will get additional compensation of Rs 1,100 per square meter. If farmer sells land under this option total compensation of land calculates to Rs 5,060 per square meter," Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Authorities Chairman Rama Raman said.

Other proposals approved by board included modernisation and expansion of existing post mortem house at sector 94A.

Deep Freezer at the post mortem house was not working properly. Authority will provide the deep freezer and other infrastructure.It is included in zoning regulation of master plan.

The Board has also approved the plan for regulation of rickshaws in the city. Uttar Pradesh industrial city traffic rickshaw control regulations 2014 was proposed for regulation of rickshaws in the city.

Board also approved Hawkers control regulations 2014 for planned and disciplined control over the hawkers in the city. Vending and non vending zones will be identified and planned system developed so that vendors get livelihood without causing traffic snarls in the city. Presently road side vendors are major cause of traffic snarls.

The Board also approved direct purchase scheme. Board has approved rate of Rs 2,500 per square meter. Besides, farmers will get 6 percent developed land. Minimum size limit is 40 sq meters and highest limit 2,500 sq meters.

If farmer do not want developed land then land compensation would be hiked by Rs 1,000 per sq meter. Total land compensation in that case would be Rs 3,500/ sq meter.

Further, GNIDA board approved payment of hiked compensation to farmers whose land was purchased directly. Sirsa and other villges where land was acquired after 1 April 2007 farmers will get the difference and hiked compensation on that amount.
